ABOUT ME

As far as I can remember I was always active & participating in exercises & sport. In my late adolescent years, this love for exercise, alongside an ever growing desire to grow muscle & become strong got me started training inside a gym a couple times per week. It didn’t take long before I was hooked & began researching & implementing every method & theory I could find to help my progression.

My love for training & desire to constantly learn lead me to make a phone call, which had me then sitting at an interview the following day, signing up to study personal training, of which started a fortnight after.

Once my initial studies that enabled me to pursue my career as a PT were complete I immediately got to work for myself. Using Facebook (Instagram was only new then) to advertise my services, knocking on doors in various streets & putting flyers in mail boxes.  Eventually Goodlife actually seen my ads & offered me a job, of which I accepted & then worked within for 7 years. For many of those first years I worked both in & outside of the gym, doing bootcamps & outdoor 1on1 sessions. Over time though I began to really narrow down my demographic & aimed to train only within a gym, and more specifically, those who were training for more so performance & hypertrophy. I did cater to all, but this was my passion & as my experience & business grew, it enabled me to ‘lean’ into it more.

3 years into personal training I competed in IFBB for the first time, which was something that I admired & aligned with perfectly given my passion for weight training. Soon after that I had my first client for a show, then soon after that, had another 2 & it snow balled from there.

Near the end of my time working at Goodlife I continued to become more ‘niche’, always drifting towards what made me happiest & where my passion was. My studies (both professionally & my own research) enabled me to do so effectively & continue to improve as a coach consistently, especially as the industry grew & more information became available.

After Goodlife I moved to a gym that aligned better with my goals as a trainer & career in general, as well as the demographic that I aimed to work with. I had also been online coaching for some years now, but given it was only a very new thing within the industry & world in general, it was never a major focus, just something steadily growing whilst I primarily did face to face personal training.

I worked within that gym for a number of years & during this time is where my online training really grew. It’s growth & my improved systems as a coach enabled me to then work with more people on a much larger scale & this had me seize my face to face training completely in 2020.

Since then my business has moved in a very similar manor, in that it continues to niche down even further towards competition preparation nearly exclusively, but obviously in an online manor, not face to face or within a gym as such.

As a coach my goal has always been to offer a service that not only gets my clients top tier results, I aim to get them there in the best manor possible, whilst also educating & supporting them as much as possible. Such traits come easily to me, as it is just how I am as a person & that has enabled me to connect with my clients on a much deeper level.
